Goals for Speakers

Timeline

Next.js Conf is the premiere web development conference, with over 50,000 registrations last year. This talk is a pre-recorded 10 minute talk that will be streamed live to all these developers on October 26th.

How to Quickly Submit your Proposal

Instead of requiring a lengthy submission or a video submission like last year, we're simplifying the process to only require an abstract.

Follow these steps to apply:

  1. Write 1-2 paragraphs summarizing your talk
    1. Tell a story about a problem that you or your team solved. For example:
      1. Scaling your Next.js app
      2. Migrating to Next.js and how it improved your metrics
      3. How you’re using the Next.js app router and React 18
      4. Optimizing your Next.js app
      5. Talking through a popular React/Next.js library you made
      6. Impressive Next.js projects you’ve built
      7. A/B Testing & personalization at the edge with Middleware
      8. …or anything else that’s interesting
    2. Doesn't have to be polished or scripted. We just want to hear what you plan to talk about.
  2. Send your Submission
    1. Deadline: September 24, 2023 at 11:45 p.m. PST.
    2. Link: https://cfp-2023.vercel.app/
  3. Wait for Approval →
    1. We'll approve or decline every submission by September 29th.
    2. Approval will be based on the following criteria:
      • Is your story focused on how Next.js changed how you or your team works, or how Next.js helped improve your site's performance and delight your users?
      • Is your talk something novel and something that will educate other Next.js developers watching the conference?
